I was wondering where all our snow went.

All our beautiful snow around here has mostly melted away with the recent temps in the 30's. It's making me sad! Feel free to send all that snow up here!

I work at NAU! Yes, Flag is wonderful. I think this is more snow than "normal," but some of the old timers tell me that this is not uncommon. I've heard that the past few years have been relatively dry. I just celebrated my 1-year anniversary in Flag yesterday!
what do you do at NAU?

Southern California is getting pummeled right now with rain (evacuations, even, because of flooding). We're expecting a few more feet over the next few days. Apparently Phoenix has also received a lot of moisture, over half what they get in a year!

Check the weather radar in the Southwest. It's cool.
I got an email from my cousin in Peoria. She said their getting hit pretty good. Flood warnings, pools overflowing. Weird weather is everywhere right now it seems... Its HAARP I'm telling ya!!!

Another snow update. We have a lull in the storm, so I shoveled the driveway again (another 18 inches). We had freezing rain for a few hours starting at 7 PM MST, which sank the snow a little. Two more feet last night.

I tried to dig out my hammock stand, but the snow filled in the void (two feet). I'll see if I can get in there tonight for a hang. I was going to snowshoe on the mesa, but it's a little ridiculous out there with four feet of new snow.

You should have had a winter tarp pitched over that hammock stand!

At least 10 feet of new snow in parts of AZ mountains:

AZ Snow Bowl ski resort closed due to power outage and avalanche danger:

as much as 40" of new snow in 24 hours and 82" in 7 days.

Thanks for posting the pictures! Thats pretty wild. Going to do a bit of hammock hanging this weekend and its forcasted to be 40 degrees during the day and the snow might be around 6". Annual dog sled race since 1979 in nearby in Allegheny National Forest is on hold. We'll need one of your snow to make that happen.
