    Sleeping in Deep Snow

I finally dug out my hammock stand last night. I opted for a backyard hang instead of snowshoeing out in the field. With four feet of new snow, snowshoeing was futile (I did some testing in a field nearby and it was absolutely exhausting!)

I tested my new Stormcrow Crowsnest UQ and Burrow TQ. The overnight temperature was 15.8°F and I was toasty warm (my watch thermometer registered between 77 and 80°F). I wore a marino wool and fleece tights, one pair of wool lite hiker socks, a wicking base layer and a fleece top, and a fleece cap. I felt I could have worn less clothing and still would have been warm enough.

We received a few more inches overnight, but I think our week of storms is all but over.

I'm still amazed at how warm the Burrow TQ is for me. I has amazing loft.

Thanks for the pics. That's what it normally looks like around here. I'm getting misty eyed.
