    Howdy from Colorado!

    Howdy all!

Just joined here at the Hammock Forums after my hammock loving friend kept telling me everything about the cool stuff about hammocks and backpacking stuff and this forum! I have been camping a lot while growing up. I was so used to tents until my friend told me everything about the hammock camping. So, I decided to give it a shot.

After I found out about the hammock deal at Warbonnet, I immediately pulled the trigger on the new Warbonnet Blackbird XLC 1.7 SL and Superfly Camo 20D SilPoly. I am still in the process of getting all of the needed hardware from Dutch to make my new hammock setup much more complete. I'm looking forward to get the whole thing to be set up in a perfect manner next weekend.

I'm up here in the Front Range of Colorado with the mountains in the backyard. I'm looking forward to do the hammock camping somewhere in Boulder County next month as well as do some camping out there in the east coast.

Just wanted to say hey to all and looking forward to all of the cool info and stuff here at the forums!

Welcome!!! My sister lives in Longmont. Next time I visit out there I am going to try and hook up with Chad from Colorado Outdoor Gear Supply who made our tarps for a hang. We'll have to plan a small group thang! Title it something like: East Meets West To Hang Out Other titles welcomed. LOL!

Thank you! That's really wonderful that your sister lives in my town. I am all up for the small group thing! I like that title of "East Meets West"... I am originally from the east coast (right by the beauty of the Chesapeake Bay) before I moved to here in Colorado for my work. We could start a new thread for having an event like that!

I hope I can visit soon. It's not looking to be for a while though, like next year maybe.

Thank you! I'm planning to get the under and top quilts from HG soon... I'm looking at Burrow/Incubator Econ 20. I'm starting with 20 deg due to the high altitude environment here in Colorado.
