    suspension advice

I have 2 tree straps and a hennessy hammock with 2 carabiners. looking for an easier way to hang up the hammock using the tree strap, carabiners and the single rope off the ends of my hammock. any ideas? pics would help :-P
    Thanks in advance!!

For a while, I tied off the rope with a caribiner on each end and hung with looped straps. A better idea might be to larkshead a whoopie to each strap and clip to the caribiner tied off same way.

Best idea is to replace the suspension entirely, replacing the rope with webbing, whoopies or loops, and I know there's a youtube out there somewhere for doing that.

Im a big man. dont trust whoopies ;-) unless they are whoopie pies haha im thinking of hooking the biner through the tree strap loop, then doing a MSH and instead of the toggle using the carabiner.

If your straps are plain polyester (no daisy chain loops) and long enough (10-15 ft), you can just keep the carabiners attached to the end loops of your hammmock, then use a marlin spike hitch on the webbing and clip the carabiner to the loop (where a toggle would normally go). That's about as easy as it gets- if you're using carabiners.

p.s.- make sure your carabiners are properly rated for the usage. I have 12kn 'biners myself.

350 lbs and i hang from ucr's made of 7/64th amsteel with whoopie hook/double whoopie hooks. They have never failed me. If they make you uncomfortable i would switch to straps with dutches ti cinch buckles, or any other buckle style suspension.
