can you recommend me a snakeskin for my tarp?

    Hi there,
I'm looking for a snakeskin for my silnylon Rab 3 10x12 tarp.

I use the short side as the ridgeline. (fits my 90* hammocktent hammock best) Which will mean the snakeskin can be shorter but maybe has to be fatter?

    Thanks in advance!

    Gregor

I have one of Kat's (Mountain Goats) for my Superfly and it works very well. The mesh is a great material for a tarp skin. I would reach out to her and tell her what you need. http://www.outdoortrailgear.com/cott...s-goods-store/
But for the grace of God, there, I go...

I have purchased skins from a seller on EBAY who makes them and sells them through his EBAY business. Look for seller "dealssatellites". If he does not have any at the time you look, send him an email and ask him to make you a skin for your tarp. I have a 12 foot 4.5 inch skin, and two 6 foot 4.5 inch skins, which I think is easier to use with a tarp. He sells these for about 10 dollars.

Alternatively, snake skins are one of the easiest DIY projects around!

Hands down, Quick Flys from Simply Light Designs...

    http://www.simplylightdesigns.com/ca...roducts_id/276

Not the cheapest tarp skins on the market, but just about the finest made. Quality and attention to detail are off the charts. Jared offers them in multiple sizes for both length and width so you can dial the fit in perfectly for any tarp. They are 100% customizable, so you can choose virtually any fabric and get them with or without guy line pockets.

    Thanks for all the replies.
I thought about making one myself but the risk of sewing my fingers together is too big. I just ordered one from simply light designs. Jared was super quick with answering my question and the medium sized XW version should fit the bill.
Thanks for the help! Will post a picture when I first use it.
