    Dyneema 2.0 webbing

Hey let's push some more limits. I finally was able to get out from behind the sewing machine to make a vid of my newest webbing. We have a huge selection of different webbings and many are designed by us just for hammock. This is my latest. First off it is blue, I had to pick a color and I chose blue with black racing stripes. It is made from blue strands and not dyed after the fact. That makes it so the entire webbing is blue through and through. Also your hands won't become blue after you handle it. I know there will be some that want more subdued colors and we can't please everyone and we will look into making more colors for the next order. What is important is the weight, it is 2.0 grams per foot. That is lighter than a whoopie sling and it is the lightest 1500 pound breaking strength webbing I know of. It is thin and has the same feel as Kevlar 2.2 but it doesn't have the UV degradation that Kevlar has. It has a very tight weave and you would think it is grosgrain. There are sexy black racing stripes on it just to identify it and set it apart form other webbings. The only con is is doesn't work will with buckles and such. It is too slick and too thin. It does however work great as a huggers or as a marlin spike hitch. Roll the video...

That is for the huggers, we will make a page for straps and to buy the webbing in a day or so.

Very cool stuff. I love my buckles so I'll be sticking with what I've got for now but it's awesome to see new things like this come out. Great work!

Always innovating Dutch. I'll be definitely picking up a pair for my blue Chameleon!

If we snip the strap, can the end be burned it does it need to be sewn like Kevlar?

Can I get these in Tree strap form, ie. with a sewn in loop on one end? I don't have a sewing machine... I was going to purchase some 2.2 Kelar but you were sold out, (I see that you responded to my post) and now you've announced this stuff. It sounds perfect. I want to use it with a MSH or a J-Bend or Becket Hitch. Will this work for these purposes?

Yes we just didn't build the pages yet. I was a little excited to release them and did a video. They will be available in straps and webbing in 10 foot increments.
