Has anyone made snakeskins for a MacCat Deluxe? I have some nylon laying around and am plannin on makin some. Just wondering what would be the best Dimensions and any tips to use for making skins for this tarp.

I prefer to LEVITATE between two trees...The Groundlings can have their tents.
measure the ridgeline on it, my memory is that it is 132".
I have made skins of one simple tube, deep enough so that I can fold the tarp into a flatish bundle. For a MacCat Deluxe I'd add a couple of inches each end for hemming and maybe chord channels, that's 136" long. I'd figure on a tube that when flat is about 6", which means you want a depth of say 13" when you cut it, lose a little less than an inch when you bring the edges together for a hem.
When you roll the tarp into something like this it is more like folding to fill that 6" depth. The payoff is that can squish flatish, so you can bundle up the tarp into a package that is about 15" long, 6" wide, and 3-4" deep. Shove that into the external pocket on a pack easily.
