I need to unravel some of both. I tried counting and my eyes got crossed. When I tried to count, it seemed like both were 8 strand, but then again, I need to pull out a marker and mark as I count so I don't lose track.

It's starting to look like I got 1/8" this whole time from Redden, and Vela actually sent 7/64".

Sorry to bump this up again, I finally got a count on the smaller line, and it does indeed have 12 strands. Size-wise it falls between my lash-it and the stuff I got from Redden. To add to the mystery, I have a Dream Hammock Thunderbird with CL that are 7/64, which looks identical to the stuff I got from Redden, not Vela. I just hope the weight rating is the same. I'll be contacting Vela and will let people know what they say if anyone's interested.
