    Backsplice preventer

This is an idea LaVista had. I sent my HH off for him to test out and he had the adjustable bury turn itself into a backsplice. There was a discussion not to long ago about how to best combat this phenom. After some testing, and figuring, this is the easiest, best solution I have tried. No weight penalty unless you are counting milligrams.

I am off to the hobby store to best match the colors I have, to the beads. If there isnt a suitable match, Ill use black.

I did something like that with some gutted paracord, used the sheath of it as a little stopper, works well.

I did the same thing when I replaced the stock suspension for my whoOpie slings. I took the stock zip-ties and used them to make the stoppers. (Make sure you use a lighter to melt the top a little to remove any sharp edges.)

I dig that! I did the same thing when I was runnin my first whoopie sling through the end channel of my eno. I was so ticked at myself for lettin that happen. I made another but still was able to recover the backspliced one.

These will now be built into all of my slings. I will use a bead closest to the color of the rope.

For the ladies, if you want a pink bead, just lemme know. (Fellas too, I guess I shouldnt discriminate sexually.)

    This is an awesome idea!
On my wife's whoopie slings, I took a small piece of scrap amsteel blue and tapered both ends and slipped it in the end of the loop to prevent making it a backsplice.

I think the bead is a much easier method and plan to use this on the next set I make. Thanks Opie!
