I don't know if I will finally make it out to a HF group hang but my son was there this past weekend. The chiggers, ticks, noseeums and mosquitoes were brutal and everywhere. Even with Permethrin and Picaridin they still managed to get bit up. Be prepared.

Any report if it is a Puddle or a Pond?

He said the pond is about 1/2 full and the water is not clear. Tannic in color (like sweet tea), more like a typical Florida lake than the usual clear spring we are used to seeing. Hopefully there will be a good rain between now and then.

Sounds like a recipe for long (hiking) pants and socks/shoes for the weekend for sure. I have come to the conclusion to just leave my camp shoes at home from the past few years.
