Thanks for the help Dublinlin in loading my drawing. Does my preschool like drawing help make sense of my wordiness in the original post ?

I have a visual now. I have a quilt that has connections at the halfway point and a piece of shock cord with a cord lock. The idea is that the center cord can be cinched across the hammock or across the ridgeline to snug the center. The disadvantage is it definitely interferes with ingress/egress of the hammock, complicated by the dark. I like this idea, and may try to hand sew some loops on some problematic quilts I have to resolve their center sag issues. Thanks for this.
I used to run a shock cord on the UQ from the foot box part to my right shoulder, by going up and over. It worked well enough but, it kinda closed in the net a bit and I had to unclip it to get in and out. There was no loop on the right shoulder side of my UQ, so I tied the cord to a pebble inside of the quilt. Doing the pebble trick may let you know if you like the mod and tell you the best place to put the loops if you decide to do them.

Now that my diagram works, I'm curious if anyone has used this method before ? It seems to simple of a solution to not have been thought of before.
