Interesting. I hadn't seen that product before. Why do you think ENO is selling a system that requires a ridgeline to setup when their hammocks don't ship with a ridgeline?

Do you think it wouldn't be good for reading because the light would be from behind your book or is it simply not bright enough to be a good reading light?

    Horrible! Terrible! Uninformative! Awful!

Oh, you said "gentle". My bad. Seriously, that was a nice review. I hadn't heard of the Twilight Camp Light System. It could be nice in a group setting, especially with kids. I agree that a dimmer setting would be nice. I'd put this in the category with an Energizer flip open LED "130 Hour" light I bought - nice but not worth carrying except on occasion.

I lived in Conroe for a couple of years and had some great times!

Good review babelfish!! I'll agree, these things really are nice!! My wife bought some for her wreaths on our front door sometime before Christmas. She never used them soooo... I stole them!! Used them quite a few times, my son has a set of rainbow color that he really likes. My wife only paid 5.99 for the ones she found, only problem is you might not find them this time of year. I think she bought them at Target. Might could find them at one of those big Christmas stores.

Ahh. hammock ambiance, nice review. available here, also. Cheaper, but they run on 'C' batteries. In 10 or 20 lights.

"...nothing that a really generous portion of duct tape wouldn't take care of..."

    LOL!!

    Fun review.

Hammock lighting is an import subject. I use one of these:

    http://www.coghlans.com/catalogue/pr...st.php?catID=1

It uses one of those big disk/watch type batteries (think computer bios battery). Much lighter than 2 AAs but more difficult to find. I added a piece of glow in the dark tape and keep it clipped to my ridge line even when I pack the hammock up. That way I always know where it's at.

For those that are interested - when I googled this I discovered that ENO is giving this away with orders of $100 or more with a coupon code. (don't remember that though) I think that is about the only way I would get this, if it was free.
    Great review!
