    I use a compression sack and prefer it that was. I can get my 20 degree set in the sack and still make it fit in the bottom "sleeping bag" section of my backpack. I just find it easier and I like it more organized.

    I went with a CF pack liner AND a large rectangular stuff sack to fill the bottom of the liner.

    We will see...i tried the open stuff method and I don't think i can accomplish what a stuff sack can from just the downward compression.

    I am still putting my clothes in a dry bag however.
