    Warbonnet Outdoors, the Company

    Hey All,

I had ordered a Warbonnet Ridgerunner and while I was waiting for it to get made and delivered, I ended up taking a trip down to Colorado. I went to the Warbonnet shop and picked up my RR there, and I got to meet and talk with some of the folks there, including Brandon, Ryan, and Alex. Brandon visited with me for about 20 minutes and we talked about Warbonnet products as well as some others I have bought elsewhere. I asked about an Underquilt for it, and they got one made for me the next day so I could pick it up while I was down there (thanks, Alex). Of course, I ended up buying a Superfly tarp as well. Didn't get a chance to use it since I ended up coming home early, but I anticipate it being a great hang.
To get to the point, the guys at Warbonnet are some great folks who know what they are doing and obviously care about the products they put out. To get some special rush treatment to help accommodate my time-frame was also fantastic. I felt very comfortable there and with my purchases. Just wanted to tell everyone about it because I value the personalized service.

Seems you were given some fine customer service. Just wish they were as concerned about replying to email communications as promptly.

If you are having trouble connecting, I'd recommend giving them a call. Their number can be found through Google. I've never had a problem getting through to them during business hours.

They make top quality stuff, that's for sure. As for the customer service and such, I haven't really had to deal with them much since I haven't had my XLC or Wookie for very long. But one of the reasons I went with a WB hammock was because of their great reputation for standing behind their products.

As far as e-mail replies go, I imagine they get a ton of e-mails every day. I e-mailed them the other day and haven't heard back yet, but honestly my e-mail was about something non pressing so I'm not worried about it. Kind of got the answers to my questions by searching here on the forums anyway and should have done that before bugging the WB crew.

I finally got around to listening to the interview podcast with Brandon over on https://www.hyohpodcast.com/ Good interview and worth a listen, especially if you're a fan of WB.

Start your own cottage company, show us how to do it.

Post your question on the forum. Perhaps it is something about fabrics or size, and we can offer advice.
If your question is one that is clearly answered on his website or videos, why bother the man.?
    Perhaps your email got lost?

The offerings are clear and concise, the expected wait times are posted prior to purchasing, if you don't like what you see, don't buy.

Bashing him publicly isn't the right move. He is busy making gear OR answering your email.

If your ego is that sensitive, shop elsewhere, maybe REI or Cabelas?

I believe you already expressed this opinion in the thread you started in the general hammock talk section. Now it seems like you are more intent on broadcasting your your message rather than looking for a solution. I just tested the suggestion above to try google search, and instantly located phone and address. Perhaps a better (and more expeditious) use of your time would be to email again or call Brandon.

The WBBB was my first cottage vendor hammock purchase, and, as I was new to hammocking and new to HF, I had many questions. Brandon replied with very detailed info and helped me choose the right product. Same for my Superfly tarp purchase. Rinse and repeat. No issues.

It's amazing how much customer service you can get with almost any cottage industry, when you actually pick up the phone and give them a call. Something that seems lost on the (generally) younger generation.

Naturally, there are exceptions to both sides of the equation. But if you don't call them, I'd say you oughta just keep your complaining to yourself. Or, maybe email your gripe to yourself. Then you can respond to yourself in kind.

I have emailed them several times with newbie questions. They've never taken more than a couple days to get back to me. They've made a customer for life. Now if only Comcast could be like that....
