It's a great compromise between a tarp with full doors and a normal hex tarp/Mamajama tarp. I love that I am protected on the ends and can just duck under the end to get to my hammock. I think it will quickly become my go to tarp.

Thanks Flounder. Very helpful to see it in use. Two thumbs up

I'd really like to see a Ridgerunner under one of these!

Looks great! This is going on my "want-not-need" list. An addendum to my wish list with just slightly lower priority

$100 impulse buy on a slow day

Actually, after comparing photos, this looks totally different than the pics on the Warbonnet site. Flounder- this is the Thunderfly, not the Minifly?

Correct, this is the Thunderfly. the tarp poles make is look less wide than it is.

The 45° cuts on the door seems to be nonexistent on the warbonnet photos. I like yours a lot better, if in fact they are different designs.

The way the doors look depend alot on how steep or flat the main body is pitched

It seems like MJ has superior wind protection, but less rain protection. While, the TF has superior rain protection and less wind protection (not as wide). What do you think is more important? I would assume wind occurs more often and has the ability to seep away heat if the UQ is exposed. I don't have enough experience to gage that though.

Flounder, about the poles. Did you buy the “kit” or make your own? If you made your own, could you instruct as to how you made them ie; how many poles, how long etc.
    Thanks
