pictures of my DIY tree huggers.

the straps are about 6.5ft long and i have no idea how much they weigh but there is narry a tree i can't lash to with these.

(i didn't sew them, my mom did. but now that i have a machine i hope to learn to sew things like these)

the strapping came from the local outdoor place and the guy said his freind pulls peoples jeeps out of mud holes with it so it must be pretty strong stuff. the rings are welded steel rings from the hardware store and they are heavy but so am i and i feel confident with them.

If it works for you than it is a great project. I think I remade most things 10 times before I came up with an end product that was light and worked well.
Is that too much to ask? Girls with frikkin' lasers on their heads?

Cool project, Ryan. Like I always say, if it works for you then that's all that matters.

I'd like to see a pic of those with the hammock setup.

yea- when i was 6 my mom bought a bolt of that fabric and covered the ceiling in my bedroom (it was a jungle themed room). eventually i grew older and out of the jungle theme but my mom kept the fabric and now anytime we need some fabric for a project she cuts a little bit of that fabric. it just happened to work out that it was a great pattern for this project. i also have a camo scuba fin bag, and a camo pocket liner in a pair of old pants. lol.
