    Trail Days Hike Poll #2

I was just talking with Dancer. She and I have decided to hike in to Trail Days SOBO from Wise Shelter, starting Wednesday 12 May. Anyone interested in joining us?

Genuine Draft and I are good to go from either direction. Wise to Damascus is a very easy section. I don't think anybody will have any problems.

    How many miles is that?

I need to get out and do at least one hike this year. If I have to do it all at once, that's fine, but I don't want to hold people up because I'm slower than them.

From Wise shelter SOBO to Damascus is 33.1 very nice, easy miles, no PUDS/MUDS. The elevation profile is available here for your review. Don't sweat being slow, I'm not a mile monster by any stretch of the imagination. Dancer and I both take it easy and just enjoy the hike instead of being concerned with making fast miles.

Ja, hai, si, ndiyo, da, etc. Yes, we're planning on 3 days for it. We're hoping to start hiking at a fairly early hour from Wise on Wednesday and make it to Damascus around lunchtime or a little later on Friday. Sure would be nice to have a burger and a beer at Dot's or Fattie's for lunch when we get in.

My wife says we she doesn't care if we celebrate our anniversary on the exact date or not. Hmmmm...

I'll have to see what the work schedule looks like for 2nd quarter. Might be a bit busy.

well I'll throw my hat in tentatively. If a good 3 or 4 day hike comes up that's a bit closer, I'll opt for that one instead. Otherwise, I'll do my dangdest to join you and dancer and cannibal...
