I have two Hennessy's with DIY zipper mods. Much happier with them since I added the zippers... it definitely makes the HH much "user friendly" as someone already stated, specially if you use a SS or an underquilt.
But FYI... One is sold to a friend, the other one I will keep using until I find a way to buy a double bottom BlackBird. I voted BB.

I have both the BB and HH with mod. My son sleeps in the HH . You can just get the BB and keep the HH for friends. The footbox is nice, but I couldn't live without the shelf.
I'm a big fan of the BB's shelf, too...I haven't slept in the HH since I got the BB.

IMPOSSIBLE JUST TAKES LONGER
I've had both. I never used my HH with the bottom entry. It went right to ZQ for the mods. Once I took out the velcro for the bottom entry and redid the ends I was able to sleep pretty comfortable in it. I sold my first BB but have acquired another one. The thing I like best about the BB is that you can really lie flat in it. Flatter than any other GE hammock I've ever had. If it were my choice and I was short of greenbacks, I'd send it down to ZQ for the modes and repair the bugnet. If I was flush, I'd get the WBBB.
If cost is an issue, go the zippermod route. Maybe you could talk ZQ into repairing the HH where it needs such. The BB is awesome if it is affordable for you.
