    Hi, I'm Rex

    Hello all,

My name is Rex Laughlin, I am a 53 year old music teacher on the Cheyenne River Indian Reservation, in South Dakota. I just got my first hammock a week ago. my first two nights were a terrible sleep, my last two nights were amazing, especially last night. Best sleep I have had in many years! My hammock is a $22 amazon special, but it's done very well so far. Now I'm debating on an upgrade... Maybe Warburton blackbird, a Hennessy expedition Asym Zip, or another brand I found interesting, a Dream Hammock Thunderbird. So much to think about. Dream hammock makes special order, anyway you want it. Hennessy has a great hex Fly giveaway right now.

I'm scouring youtube for videos, but the deeper I go the harder it gets to make a decision. lol

    Great to be here,

    Rex

Welcome from Northern Arkansas! Sound like some great choices to me! Figuring out the best setup may take time but it's worth the effort! Lots of folks here to help!

Welcome Rex, don't let the number of choices intimidate you. If you have the chance, try to make it to a group hang in your neighborhood. You will get to see and lay in a number of different hammocks and the experience will help you decide what works best for you.

Folks on the forums are happy to help new hangers get started, all of the options you mentioned I'm sure will work for you. But if your like the rest of us, your next hammock will not be your last.

    Welcome to the forums!
