Thanks all for the great welcome!
I did it! I slept in a hammock outdoors and it was great!
Youtube video's below to prove it.
It was up to -6 celcius windy with some snow during the night and I was a bit chilly without under blanket.
Sheep skin kept me warm enough to survive.
Slept in a very old cheesy sleeping bag and my old woolen blanket I got when I was in the navy.
Not perfect but OK for now.
Liked the snow very much. Learned a lot this weekend! Way to much crap with me...
My friend uses a small Vaude tarp, wich was way to small. I had to lay my old navy bag over his feet to prevent the snow from entering his hammock. Next time we come more prepared! We are on a steep lurnig curve with this whole hammocking extravaganza!
In one of the video's I film some other Dutch "tree dwellers" with a rather nice setup. They place two hammocks a top of each other with one tarp. Liked it! Maybe when my daughter is old enough...
Sorry for the crappy video's, still hope you like them. You can also see me and my friend cooking some water for coffee and noodles in my home made cookers. My friend is bleeding in his attempt to make a fire and I am teesing him a bit. That's devotion right there!
Thanks Shug, "het gaat goed met mij"
(I am doiing OK)
