No problem. Check out Shug's video around 11:20 if you want to see it in action. The only downsides of the pad are it's a bit heavy (1lb 11oz) compared to carrying a 12 oz lynx and takes a bit of room in the pack. However I do use 57L pack so room is more of a premium for me.

I think you want to adjust the way you are setting up your hammock. There are threads about that too if you search. I don't get shoulder squeeze at all which is one of the reasons I keep the WBRR. It almost sounds as though head/foot poles are reversed or a pole section is missing at your head? I hang the WBRR with a 30 degree angle where I hang all of my others at something closer to 35 degrees. I have two GE Hammocks and a Clark North Americal all used for different purposes.

I believe you are having challenges (I don't mean to sound skeptical) but I'm not sure an underpad is going to provide the "stiffness" required to make the hammock lay flat...

Brommeland, how much do you weigh as this too has a bearing on how much shoulder squeeze one experiences. I have a friend that is at the upper weight limit of this hammock at 240 lbs and he couldn't take the shoulder squeeze of the RR.

I bounce around between 240 and 250. I have successfully slept in the RR - much more so than any of my GE's, but I never seem to have a place to put my arms.....However, when compared to the hell that GE's have been, it's like sleeping on a queen sized bed!

Thanks to all who posted. I've found two different solutions to my problem. The first is a Big Agness Insulated Double Z pad. It puts me pretty much above the squeeze and feels like I am floating on air.

The second one was much cheaper. I got a stick of pipe insulation foam for 1/2" water lines and wrapped it around the webbing that forms that painful "ridge" like structure that was squeezing me in at the arms. Now I can rest my arms on top of that webbing and I have all the room that I need. Again, thanks to all who took the time to post.
