DRY loose fitting socks.....not the ones you had on all day!
    Lower foot positioning.
    Wear a hat.
Proper insulation in the leg and foot areas.

And here it comes again....HOT WATER BOTTLE! An old trick that has been around for a very long time....wonder why? Because it works.

Wouldn't it be nice if some Quilt/Sleeping Bag Manufacturer would put a pouch in the foot box area just for a hot water bottle...that would be cool...I mean toasty.

I agree with the hot water bottle suggestions. I have a cozy for my Nalgene, it is made from Reflectix. The cozy slowly released the heat all night.

did you see the down booties for sale at GooseFeet?
mine are very well made, from momentum 90 and the fit is great, but you wont want to walk around in them.. alas, Ben now makes a shell too!

another observation: stay hydrated! (number one reason for being unusually cold)
try again under similar weather conditions using the same rig, and report your findings. your cold feet may have been a fluke.. if not, get down booties!

here is another pair from an established, respected company: I cant believe such a low price

Keep a pair of dry thick wool socks to put on. I keep a pair inside my hammock, that way when i set it up its already there for me.
