    Hello from Springfield, VA

Glad I found this forum. Was actually looking for information on the Lone Star Hiking Trail (which is currently closed due to Harvey damage and flooding). Which led me to here.

I am hoping that it reopens next year.

    Any way, HELLO ALL

    Hello and welcome,
the LSHT should be open pretty soon (trees falling due to drought was the prior thing they had to close about).

I went to West Springfield high, until 1975......Lived off Carrleigh (sp) parkway. Our place backed up to a forest belt...Accotink Creek...I spent a lot of time in those woods.

    Welcome from Herndon!

Not sure if you have heard yet, but we have a nice group hang in November just down the highway from you. The NOVA Hang is at Prince William Forest over Veterens Day Weekend.

Would love to get to meet you.

Ha! Another WSHS graduate here, but nineties. Still here. Classic small world.

    Welcome, T.

Welcome from Richmond area! Like Jimbo said, check out the hang in November. Even if you don't camp out, come on out for the afternoon and diiner. Meet some folks and see some setups.
