    Lawson Loop D Loops

I've had the opportunity to try out the new Loop D Loop hardware from Lawson Equipment and I'd like to share my thoughts with you about these.

    Thanks for looking.

Thanks for the video. I bought some of these when they first went on sale and have not had the chance to try them out yet. This gives me some ideas.

I like them... simpler is always better and multi-use is a plus. Thanks Randy!

Great video and a great-looking product, as well!

Your opinion please: With the "LDL" on the CL as you show, would it be safe to use just an Amsteel leader from your strap and do several wraps around (behind, not through) the LDL?

I'm getting giddy! I think it will work.

One way to find out, but please do be careful.
My guess is you'd be ok with a very constant load, but any movement would tend to loosen it up wouldn't it?

Great video. I've been using the Loop-D-Loops for a couple weeks now, and I love them. I find them very simple and easy to use. I will say that initially I was thinking of them as a whoopie hook alternative, and so put them on my whoopies. I found that this caused problems as when you adjust your whoopie the LDL doesn't slide on it's own to find the new end of the whoopie. When I moved the LDL to the CL all issues were solved, as the loop on the whoopie slides freely behind the LDL.

I'll also say that initially I was worried that the LDL would fall off of the CL or somehow come loose. My experience has been that it holds on there pretty well. On my trip this weekend I left the LDL on my CLs when packed up, so they were just hanging out of the ends of the stuff sack and they stay put all weekend, no problems.

I'm ready to say I'm a full convert and will be using these with all my whoopies now. They're just easier to use than any other system I've tried and when engaged they're very secure. I also like that they don't have to be spliced onto the whoopie, yet so far have stay securely connected when everything's being packed up.

Someone posted about the Lawson Loops recently and I trotted right over to Lawson's to check them out.

It's helpful to have this additional info, so thanks.
