I think 2Questions posted on his.

I just did this mod on two tarps. Here are three pictures that tell the story.
Centered, at each edge, a place to anchor the pole end. On the outside of the tarp, some supporting material, cut in a 45-90-45 degree triangle.
    pole-2.jpg

On the inside, a square of a heftier fabric (this is dyneema re-enforced), folded in half to create a triangular sleeve-in-pouch. Pole sleeve created with stitching, pouch sewn through to supporting materials on outside.

At the ridgeline a small sleeve to anchor the pole

The pole used here is Fibraplex carbon. Hat tip to MedicineMan for that link.

You can see in the various pictures what you want the pole to do, be long enough to fit and push out the tarp everywhere the pole touches.

It works, I've done it before. If you look at the traction devices called Stablicers, you'll see they are basically the same thing.

I gotta ask; for those using the Psolarx thing, did it cut down on condensation issues from exhaled air? Or did anyone wear them at night?

Top blanket used as a top blanket, or as a Pea Pod bottom liner?

If as a top blanket, then the pod was warm enough by itself on the bottom at 9*F?

Can you seriously boil in a metal bottle many times without damaging seal and/or bottle?

I did sneak a yard of IX and a couple of IX/Lamilite sit pads into the PeaPod for her. She's so light, I had to cinch the foot end up tight so it wouldn't sag away from her legs.

Certainly. Most of the metal bottles have no plastic or rubber on the bottle itself. As long as the cap is off when heating, it's not a problem.

I have a Klean Kanteen that I've boiled in dozens of times.
