Thanks. Good to know. I'm sure my car will be loaded down with enough gear to aid in traction

What kind of car do you have that is not so good in the snow? Most cars these days have front-wheel drive, which works pretty well in the snow. The only issue is clearance. This will be my seventh year at the NJ Winter Hang. First year I had a Dodge Neon - very low clearance. Every year since then I've been driving a Chevy Cobalt 2009 (also very low clearance). Both cars worked well in moderate (seven to eight inches) snow.

Now if we have a snow fall like in 2011 (I wasn't there), there could be an issue for low-clearance cars. Wouldn't that be wonderful? I hear that several people got cars stuck in the snow in 2011.

There was no snow for that - just silentorpheus' brute strength.

I've been thinking.... so, who wants to join me and my son 'taste test' a pepper that I grew in my garden? Th is will be a Friday night thing. We will do it at the main fire. Please respond by the weekend before so I know how many peppers I should bring. (And yes, if you like heat you should respond)

Bring your wool, or mostly wool, gear to share/wear etc.

I’ll setup a table or two and star putting stuff out Sat. after breakfast at my site. Live gear testing will be going on around the smaller campfires at all times. I’ll have 4 different blankets at my camp for folks to check out, every one of them will have Radar hair on them. Ha.

Anorak bragging rights will be earned through quality busting of chops, harassment and all manners of taunting.

We have several members that will be repping gear from both Boreal Mountain and Lester River. Many sizes will be available for trying on/fitment tests. This is one of the best things about Woolapalooza, you get the chance to try on different sizes both layered up and not. Not many places are you going to be able to try on 3 or 4 different sized Lester River Boreal shirts or compare blanket weights side by side, Rothco, US Mil, Eastern Block Mil, Asbell, LR, Boreal Mountain, Woolrich, etc.

I will be bringing the usual plus some new stiuff. Some vintage LL Bean Adirondack Hunting pants, some Park Service Winter Greens (aka Wood n Trail) pants and a few other odds and ends.

Asbell, Lester River, Boreal Mountain, LL Bean, Woolrich, Cabelas, Wood n Trail, Cadot

    GOT WOOL ?
I will bring all I have. Will there be a 90% table??

KIA Soul. Clearance is better than some. The real issue is the bald tires The biggest issue is getting out of my house if there's snow that day. I'm on a road they plow last. I've been making a gear pile, though, so I hope it all works out.
