CA>Skyline to Sea Trail (Bay Area)>Nov 19-21

I'm planning on doing two nights on the Skyline to Sea Trail near San Fran from Nov 19th-21st (Sun-Tue, ~30 miles point-to-point).

It's a shuttle hike. I'm planning on leaving a rental car at Waddell Beach but on Sunday morning and finding a way up to the trailhead. Does anyone know of the current situation with transportation from the Waddell to the Castle Rock trailhead? It's not clear but it sounds like there is no longer bus service to Waddell. Any thoughts or ideas would be much appreciated.

The dates are fixed because I'm in town for work but if there is anyone in the area who wants to join me on the trip I'd happily pick up the cost of permits and parking. Or if someone would be willing to drive either direction (roughly 1 hr) on that Sunday morning or Tuesday afternoon I'd pay for gas and breakfast/lunch/beer/etc..

I'm about 3.5 hours from there, but go surfing in Santa Cruz monthly. Keep me posted if you can find another hiker or ride, if you can't, I might be able to help out. I'd enjoy that hike too, but I can't join you as I'm a weekend warrior and scheduled for work mon-wed that week. Already checked. If you have extra time, another great hike is Sykes Hot springs in Big Sur. Although last Memorial Day I planned to hike Sykes and found the trail closed due to local fires/fire damage.

I might be able to help out. Would be fun to join you but I have to be at work Monday. I could join you for part of the way through Castle Rock on Sunday though.

Unfortunately the bus from Waddell beach is no longer running.

It is a great hike. Sure you are going to enjoy it.

**Update**

My wife (both pregnant and uninterested in backpacking) decided to join me on the trip so I won't be backpacking or hiking the trail this time.

You're welcome Ewoolf. Pm me if you wanna hang in CA again. Another state campground made me remove a hammock from trees last weekend in Gaviota state beach. Luckily I had brought my stand in case our site didn't have trees. Maybe because Californian's are sue happy when they make bad choices or hang from unhealthy trees.
