Twisted Root Top or Underquilt on Woot

Saw this on Woot today. https://sellout.woot.com/offers/twis...d_cat_sprt_2_3

It is not one of their normal daily items, but an event that has at this point 6 more days. Tried doing some research and really didn't find too much. I'm in need of an underquilt and on the fence about this one.

They also have a rainfly https://sellout.woot.com/offers/twis...d_cat_sprt_2_9

    My opinion only:

    1. It's synthetic and fairly heavy.
    2. They rate it from 35-45, but I'd be hesitant to take it that low on a trip before some backyard testing first.
    3. The fact that you can't find reviews may be saying something.

If you're wanting a synthetic underquilt, AHE has some options that are tried and true, and possibly lighter. They cost around twice as much, but for quality, craftsmanship and peace of mind you may find them worth it.

If budget is a concern, you could look at the Snugpak Underblanket. A little heavier but well reviewed for both pros and cons.

    Good luck!

I bought the UQ on Woot before when they was about $10 cheaper. Also have the Yukon Outfiiters one and they are identical other than color.
I pack mine in a compression bag with my sleeping bag. Added small “S” biners to each end to attach to my whoopie slings at camp. I’ve used mine with a Kelty Tuck 30 down to 40° and had no problems, I’m a hot sleeper.
There was some loose threads hanging on mine but nothing major. My dad ordered one and his had none.
