Get to the pines as much as I can. I have four passions: telescopes and asrtronomy, hammock hangs, clear dark skys, and being in the woods. The pine barrens satisfies them all - especially in fall/winter/spring. Like hammocks bucause I'm old, but don't like my *** freezing from the ground wind and radiation in the middle of the night. The dreaded witching hour.

I’ve got a friend who is really into telescopes, astronomy, photography, and is thinking about trying hammocking instead of tent camping or sleeping in his car when he attends star parties. Maybe he’ll be interested in going to a pine barren hang sometime and the two of you can “talk shop” about telescopes and such.
