Awesome stand and so easy to make. Took 10 minutes to make it and put it together. 2” by 2” 265cm long. Worked like a charm!
Perfect for some backyard camping. My buddy had his 15 months toddler in a tent for the first time and had my dog for his first test “hang”. He sleeps on the ground beside the hammock.

I just found an old thread on HF that mentioned Tarps.com. Ends up that connectors for 1” EMT are much cheaper there.

Here's a suggestion for hanging a tarp with a tensahedron stand.
First, consider the foot end of the stand as the fixed end since it is guyed to an anchor point. This will also be the "fixed end of your tarp attachment. Attach the foot end of your tarp's continuous ridgeline (or whatever kind of tarp suspension you use) directly to the foot end tensahedron stand apex. At the head end of the stand, run the tarp suspension over the top of the tensahedron stand apex where the two poles intersect, allowing the tarp suspension line to hang loose over the top of the stand with at least a foot or two hanging down. Attach a weight, such as a backpack, rock, small log, etc., to the part of the tarp suspension that is hanging down. This will allow the head end of the stand to move independent of the tarp suspension while, at the same time, maintaining a constant tension on the tarp suspension. No more floppy tarp. The hanging weight also serves to add weight to the head end of the stand as suggested previously to make the stand feel more stable.
It you are worried about line abraision where the tarp suspension line slides over the head end apex (which I don't think will be a problem), you could even rig up a miniature pulley at the apex to pass the tarp suspension through.

I have learned the hard 》ouch《 way that crimp style connectors and plastic coated cable are not recommend.

I am now in the process of switching all my connections to the screw type and doubling them up.

Not as pretty, but they are holding better.
I use soft shackles,
