    Quilt hooks question

    Guys,
Took my Chameleon out this last week for a spin and clipped my UQ suspension into the quilt hooks but I noticed that more times than not they would "pop out" when I climbed into the hammock. What are your experiences with these little gadgets? Am I possibly using them the wrong way?

What gauge shock cord are you using? Those quilt hooks are designed for ⅛" shock cord to snap into it--anything lighter, and it can potentially pop out. I've been running into that problem myself with the lighter cordage I use on my summer weight quilts.

Unfortunately 3/32 shock cord can slip out of pack hooks. You can heat up the back side of them with a lighter and make them smaller. I would put a small piece of 3/32 at the pinch point of the pack hook so it doesn't close too much.

The under quilt is a HammockGear Incubator 20 but I'm not sure what the primary suspension gauge is.

It is 3/32 for the 20. they use 1/8th for 0 degree.
