After watching them I have decided to try using descender rings for a while. I have been using the marlin spike hitch but like the idea of quicker adjustments. The descender rings really don't add much weight.

I switched to a Becket Hitch with Dyneema straps....used this tutorial to help me with the transition.

Was using Whoopies and MSH.....also based on your tutorials.

They are so easy to adjust. Do a backup knot though. Carry forth.

What's not to like in a Shug video? It's always good to see these topics revisited as I take a mental re-evaluation of my own rigging while watching. And as has been said before; the best teacher is to go out and just monkey around setting up your hammock over and over again.
