You are perfectly stationed within a short driving distance from most of our hangs. If by short I mean less than 3 hours.
Get to as many group hangs as you can and don't be afraid to use a tent or bivy or just a tarp and ground set up until you get a hammock rig. My guess is you will be hanging the first night you bring out your hammock. This group of hangers are just that awesome and will get you taken care of.
And remember to come to HangCon 2018 to see a huge variety of different hammock styles and hanging options.

Welcome from Plant City and like others have already stated checkout Hangcon if you can make it. Lots of cool gear to see from fellow hangers and some cottage vendors setup their gear.
