Mirage's Site On The MAKE Blog

MAKE is a magazine that is geared toward the DIY enthusiast. The MAKE blog is really cool, updated daily with tons of DIY projects and podcasts.

I noticed today they had a link to Mirage's site and some of his DIY gear in an entry called "DIY outdoors gear". If you didn't know Mirages site has some DIY projects, mainly geared toward hammock camping.

    Check it out.

Thanks, this is going to take up my time for awhile.

That site has some really cool geeky engineering projects. Everyone needs one of these.
Is that too much to ask? Girls with frikkin' lasers on their heads?

Yeah that site is a little addictive. Sorry.

On of those cat cut Tyvek tarps on Mirage's site just bumped up on my DIY list.

Oh man, I hope they don't go looking for the missing FedEx envelopes at my office!

We have a bunch of the small, medium, and large FedEx envelopes at work that hardly get used. I will be taking some of those home.

Ya know, that'd make a super easy BB Sack with very little modification. Even I could do that one.

Very important update on the Tyvex stuff sacks. Don't bother!

Unless you are smart and run some stitching down the glued seam. I used two of these for food bags recently. I could have sworn a bear knocked down my bags when I heard a clatter in the wee hours of the night. It turned out that the seams on both bags ripped and all my goodies came tumbling out. Apparently there were no bears (or any other critters) around because all my food was intact in the morning. Made the next 2 nights a real pain in the rear. Lesson learned.
