Winter Storm Warning? Yeah! Backyard Test!

    Hey guys and gals,

Have a nice winter storm warning Tuesday night will probably expect about 6-8 inches by morning if not more. Going to hang in the woods tonight to see how my set up deals with winter precipitation weather.

Temps looking to drop in the high 20's so that is about 20 degrees more than my last trip. I'm thinking I should be nice and toasty for this encounter.

As always pictures and video will be shot and placed here.

I'll make sure to get a bit more shots and video of my set up as I know some of you wanted to see my rig on my AT trip a couple of weeks ago.

    Gear to be used:

    WB Blackbird
    WB Winter Yeti
    WB Black Mamba Winter

    Montbell Thermawrap pants
    Wigwam wool socks
Smartwool mid weight top and bottoms
    Teanaway Booties
    Underarmour Balaclava
    Colombia fleece hat
    Colombia Fleece Jacket
Colombia light weight Down hiking coat (700 fill down)

But won't he get cold if he sets up camp naked?
.. truly to enjoy bodily warmth, some small part of you must be cold, for there is no quality in this world that is not what it is merely by contrast. Nothing exists in itself. If you flatter yourself that you are all over comfortable, and have been so a long time, then you cannot be said to be comfortable any more. - Herman Melville

No pad with a Yeti? I thought the short UQ's were generally designed to be supplemented by pads?

I look forward to your report and any pictures if you take any? Especially after the snow has slammed your rig. Lets us know how it all holds up ...

I dident see a tarp? Which one are you going to use? Have fun, happy hanging and stay warm
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

Sorry rushed my post as I was late to work. Gonna use a GG thinlight pad 1/4 inch for feet and the WB superfly for the tarp.

The down jacket will mainly be used for a pillow.
