    walmart fabric?

    The walmart in my aera is gona get rid of there fabric section but are on sale. They have 100%pollyester Microfiber (not ripstop) will this be any good for a DIY hammock? its less than $3 per yard

    It should work well. Polyester tends to stretch less than nylon.

    Yes, it keeps you from getting as much shoulder squeeze. I actually just made a single layer hammock for my parents last night out of brown poly microfiber. Kinda heavy, but it's for a yard lounger. There's at last 2 other people who have made one, can't think of who, but a search might reveal.

    I have used Walmart polyester for a hammock and find it very comfortable. Its plenty strong enough for my 160 lbs and likely more.
