Bridge users, I need a favor!

Wondering if a BMBH user could do me a favor? Need to know the width of the hammock from velcro bug tape the tape on the other side. Basically the width of the fabric of the curve on a straight line from side to side. Not the length.

    Hope this makes sense.

    Thanks.

I'm not a BMBH user, but I'm in process of making my own bridge. This thread has been helpful to me and posts #6 and #8 have some info on the BMBH. Hope this helps!

The width of the hammock varies from point to point.

With the hammock hanging, no one in it, a quilt in it and a MWUQ under it( don't know if any of that matters): from bug net left tape to tape rt:28" at the extreme head and foot end,
    23" in the middle.

At a point roughly between the ends and middle, 26".

    Billy Bob,
Thanks for that. That seems to be the hanging width. I was actually looking for the width of the fabric at that point. Sorta a pull the hammock flat and measure it type thing.

Strange request I know but am getting a loaner on this soon from a friend and thinking of interesting insulation options.

I dont really understand what you are asking. You are wanting us to measure the "width" of the hammock by letting the tape measure follow the outside of the hammock material...like measuring where a UQ would hang...from omni tape on one side, down to the bottom of the hammock and up to omni tape on the other side? In other words the circumference? This number is also going to vary from point to point. Please clarify for me

    Roadtorque,
Yes. That is what I am looking for basically. Sorry I didn't explain it well enough.

For example if you ripped the hammock right down the middle and needed to replace the whole panel that you sleep on what would be the dimensions of that piece of fabric? I believe that there is a square piece of fabric and then a seam that attaches to the curved suspension piece. Just want to know the width of the square panel not including the curved suspension part.

    Thanks!

    37" middle 53" ends

Re-read your post below. JRB bridge has a 26" pad pocket on the bottom. Not sure how all the seams are joined

According to the thread I mentioned before the end fabric width of the hammock is 53" and the fabric width at mid-point is 37". All that information is here. The measurements were first given as 55" and 39" on that thread, but were adjusted.
