I do not V.
I do not use a Continuous Ridgeline.
I like the other way, which does not have its own name.

I sew things on youtube.
I don’t sew on commission, so please don’t ask. Thanks.
I don't use the V because it never seems to fit right between the trees and the angles of my hang. I've had the two lines rub together and make some really obnoxious noises before. Most of the time they don't.
Over the last year, I've wrapped the CRL around the trees using the same P pattern you use with a Dutch clip. I wrap the straps and the ridgeline around the trees in oposite directions which keeps then seperated.

i like the V with stingerz. doesn't get any easier.
Not having he hammock suspension work the tarp suspensin like a bow on a violin is key to me sleeping. V all the way, though i could use soft shackles and a ucr for the adjustment i only use a single dutch fleaz.
Spliced eye in dutch zing, larks head to knot at 1/8" shock cord loop at tie-out, loop the tree, clip to s-biner at tie-out, OVER tarp, through s-biner at tie-out, loop the tree, larks head to knot at 1/8" shock cord loop, adjust for center, stake out guylines. Since tarp stays on the ousude, this can be accomplished in the rain without soaking other gears. Trying to set up one end with a decent distance from the tree then trung to get it all right and tied again sucks. I actually usually lay my CRL out past both trees before i deploy the tarp, unless it raining then i try to tie everything up on the one end before i drag the tarp all the way across and expose it to the wetness. Hyoh and all that, but the V is key unless you're setting up a double tarp up high for shade from the heat.
