Last trip, back in the beginning of May, we left at 7pm because I had to work and my buddy had a wedding to go to. Drove to our destination and after moving the cars around (friend and his wife drove up earlier in the day) we started hiking at 4am. Now, I had already been up for 23 hours at this point. We are only going 4 miles so it shouldn't be that bad. Well, as we were hiking I started to see things that were not there, more than once I thought I saw our friends tent. After a bit I was just figuring my buddy would let me know when we got there. So I'm in the front and moving at a ok clip when I peek up ahead and my light hits 2 figures. This wasn't a long look, more like a nod up. It took me about 5 seconds to realize what it was, when I looked up again there were 2 hunters standing on the trail. I almost needed to change my pants.
