I made a new Ridgeline tonight and tested out some new splicing tools.

Hey there everyone! I did a bit of splicing tonight and made a new ridgeline for my Warbonnet tarp. I used 1.75 Zing-it, DutchHooks and Dutchware Fleaz that I attached to split rings on my tarps ridgeline. I like this setup because I can quickly attach the ridgeline to the tree with the Dutchooks and then fasten the other end to my tarp with the Fleaz.

I also got to try out the new hook latch splicing needles that Dutch is carrying too. They are really nice, seem well made, and come in a pack of 7 different sizes.
Here is a link to them. http://bit.ly/2DpiaI4

I’m an advocate for “the right tool for the right job”, so I’m quite envious. That looks like a nice kit.

I have the same needles being delivered today, and glad to see these in action.

Your setup really looks nice. Very similar to the one in my tarp system. Congratulations!

Looks like an efficient split ridgeline system and a good set of tools, great job on both!

Nice job... It's addictive isn't it?
Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....

Very nice- this is something I’d like to learn very soon. Went to Dutch’s site and they’re currently out of stock..

How long did you make each ridgeline? Just curious as I'm about the add a split ridgeline option to my kit in addition to the CRL I already use. Thanks!

I cut a 25 foot section in half. I lost about 4 inches with the spices so the length is about 11 foot 6 inches.
