Winter dream pole mods and ridgerunner

I am currently in the process of working out a configuration for my winter dream tarp order. Would love to see some pics of what people have worked out with regard to various Pole mod configurations and the ridge runner. (Center/end/external) Post em if ya got em!

Great question! I can’t help you, but I am glad you asked. I’m ALSO curious how a center/ends internal pole mod compares to an external pole mod when using a ridgerunner and a cloudburst tarp…?

The impression I get is that the internal mods are heavier, but look better and might be nicer to pitch in rain. I’m not sure if the externals mods are better in any way or not. I have too little experience to know really.

I have a cloudburst with .275 external pole mods. Each pole is 72 inches long (a standard pole mod plus 2 segments) very nice usable space. Im leaning toward a single internal mod on my wd 13. Both for my winter use with the ridgerunner and my wife and daughters double hang in their dream hammocks.

There is another thread here and the OP got the center pole mod as well as the end poles mod. Discussion on thread is about when/if to use all of them together.
