Didn't see this anywhere, so in case you're looking for down throws... Stopped in at my local Sams Club this morning and they had a whole bin full of down throws 50x60 in several different colors. $19.95. Looked just like the Costco ones.

The costco ones are 60x70 which makes a big difference for quilt making. The smaller ones can still be used, but it's harder to make full size quilt without doing a good bit of deconstruction first.
Oh right, forgot! Thanks for the reminder.
Dutch has the Costco model on his site now as well.
Where on Dutch's site?
why do you need to take out the stiches on the quilt?
You don't *need* to do so, but you'll get significantly better performance out of them if you do. The stitching pattern doesn't allow the fabric to loft well, and there's a fair bit of down trapped under the threads. If you remove all of the stitches running one direction and leave the perpendicular ones, you essentially create faux baffles that allows the down to fluff up more.
I'll have to check out Sam's Club. I've got a few of the Costco throws lying around, but I'd love to pick up a couple more brown Eddie Bauer ones to make a TQ to match the UQ I made last year.

I bought 6 throws at Kohl's online about a month ago. At the time they were $19.95 apiece plus 15% off. They measure 60 x 80 (not 60 x 70). Right now they're 29.99 so not such a deal. The reviews indicate that some of those shipped were actually 60 x 70 but mine were 60 x 80. They'll likely go on sale again sometime. They seem identical (except length) to the one I got at Costco a year or so ago.
