Hennessy super shelter insulation with non-stock straps

Just purchased the Hennessy super shelter insulation system on sale. However I have retro fitted my hammock with cinch buckle straps instead of using the stock ropes.

The supershelter requires you to zip tie clips to the stock ropes. Has anyone done this with cinch strap suspension ? Or have any ideas ?

I have cinch buckles also. Do you have some sort of rope coming out of your hammock to the cinch buckle? If so, you can attach a Prussick and hook to that. Or you don't even need a prussick, just use a zip tie to go around the end knot cover's far end, and attach your clip there. Some version of what is shown here at 1.00-1:20. The zip tie is big enough to go around something much fatter than rope if needed, normally you end up cutting most of it off and discarding.

I’m thinking I may go back to the stock ropes. Does anyone know what knot to use to reattach them. ? My Hennessy is the newer one with only one hole rather than two under the end covers. At least that is what I recall

I'm pretty sure they used a bowline, I had swapped mine out for continuous loops, I just ziptied the mitton hooks to one leg of the CL and it works fine.

I use cinch strap and rather using the mitten hook I us the “s” clip from nite ize small s biner. Works great
