Atlanta Hangers

I am creating this thread for the ATL Hangers (if that is okay with the moderators) to hang out and throw ideas around, post pre-trip meetings and for those of us with motorcycles maybe post some information on rides.


This is mainly for the hangin' subjects, so lets try to keep the contend geared towards the gear aspect..... Hey... look what I just did.... I made a funny


I see in the Newb In Georgia thread we seem to have a lot of ATL hangers so lets all get together here!!!

Now lets not get all snippy here...Some of us do live in the "other" state of GA ()

I think a GA hang would be great...and I nominate Peanuts to put it together!

i second a GA hang. high shoals camp ground and blue falls near hiawasee is a great spot. only 1.2 miles to some nice falls.

you are correct.... there are OTHER areas of Georgia.... and I did not mean to offend the OTHER areas of GA.

so... should I also include FLA nad TN as well.... or make it all of the south east.....

I am from Valdosta but live in the ATL now.... ever hang out at "The Millhouse in Remerton back in the ooooohhhhh .... the Eitghties?

Not the 80's, however "back in the 90's" when I went to VSU (One year after they changed from VSC) I became very familiar with Remerton.

I live in NW Georgia, but my stepson lives on the other side of the state. So, we're all over: From Rome to Savannah to Albany and back is home.

I'll jump in on this thread. Still gotta get gear since I'm stuck on the ground right now, but hopefully that'll be remedied soon.

BTW, I graduated at VSC in '88, so I'm familiar with the southern half of the state. We lived in Morven, which is 15 miles west of Valdosta.

I'm up for a ga hang. The question would be a carcamp type of hang or a backpacking hang? I'm up for both!
