Dutch Spider Web Knots for Straps

Hi all, been having a look through the forum and cant seem to find anything on the best way to use the spider web straps. Looks pretty set in stone that beetles and bugs are a no go so am i right in thinking its becket hitch or J bend? Anyone encountered any issues with either or prefer one to the other?

Similar to Spider, I have been using RBTR's Venom straps.

I personally did not like the considerable amount effort it took to tug them free after hanging all night, with my primary concern being wear and heat damage from friction.

What I'm using now is an idea borrowed from somebody else, which is a MSH on the tree strap with the hammock CL looped around it, same as one would do with a whoopie sling.

Yeah plus one on the MSH as the do it all suspension method when you can't use the hardware. So easy to do, and you can use about any stick or metal rod as the "spike" so long as it >= 4 inches long and at least as thick as your thumb or a bit thicker.
