    Georgia Boy ISO...

Ladies and Gentlemen, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Tommy and I live in a small town (Cartersville), in NW Georgia. I'm 31 years of age, and I love long walks along the beach.... Ok seriously, I've been waist deep in a swamp, ridden a motorcycle cross country in the winter, and slept on a sidewalk in front of a store while attempting to ride a 125cc scooter to Daytona. I've cross a chest deep river twice, while it was just above freezing, and awaken the next morning with frost on my sleeping bag after sleeping under the stars. With that being said, I know nothing about hammocks other than the hang between 2 points .

I've been thinking about getting off the ground for awhile now, just because, well it's hard, and I never get a good nights rest. I've seen a lot of people recommend hammocks on various boards so I thought I would go on a journey, in search of the truth.

As you can see, I am a BS'er, but I know when to sit back and listen so don't worry about me making any waves. I'm not looking for a one night stand, I'm in search of a meaningful relationship.

PS: I'm a happily married fella with a beautiful family, so I'm sorry but I can't accept any courtship offers.

My wife asked; is it not dangerous where you're going? I answered; if it's not, it soon will be.

Welcome Tommy, from a fellow southern gentlemen. There is a lot of great info here and a lot of people with a lot of knowledge on the subject of hanging. I am new to the hammock world, but am loving it so far. Just got a blackbird about a month ago and have spent several nights in it already. It is much more comfortable then anything else I have tried and I am already working on converting my friends.

Hope you find the info you are looking for.

Thanks, it's good to be here. You know, I am ashamed to say that I had never heard of Drive By Truckers (I had to google DBT), until just now. I've been going by DirtySouth for the last 6 years on various forums, but I just listened to a couple of DBT's songs, and I may have to add them to the queue. I don't know what HC4U is.

I tell you, the pictures of the hammocks hanging look a lot more comfortable than what I am used to.

Well, I like my women thick, my food fried and my tea sweet. Just don't tell my wife about the thick part.

Thank you brother. Just when you think you have something figured out, you have to go out in search of a new project.
