    REI bridge under quilt...

Hey I did a search and found zip.. So rei has a bridge hammock and a synthetic under quilt to work with it. UQ is rated to 30F. But is pretty thin...anyone try it down to 30 to verify??

    Thx

The reviews I read suggested it was more of a 40 degree+ quilt. They were cold in the 30s.

Also, I don't see any reason why a normal under quilt wouldn't work. The synthetic one listed on the REI site for this is just a rectangle. You may need to rig up something to pull up the sides a bit, but should still work.

If you try using a cottage vendor quilt it will need to fit tight or you will get cold. I've tried quilts on my Warbonnet Ridgerunner that weren't build by Warbonnet and I got cold due to the design of the quilt not fitting tight against the sides of the hammock.

That is exactly why I ordered the REI UQ. I’ll layer up if I need too. The hammock shipped immediately but no shipping notice yet on the quilt.
