I am thinking about rebuilding my current hammock.
Right now its a simple 2 layer job of 2 layers of 1.65 oz nylon. I want it lighter so I think I am going to rework it into a single layer 1.65 oz to cut the weight down.
What I am stumped on is the bug net. I could just get a skeeter beater pro and be done with it, but its a bit heavy and the net is attached 24/7.
As far as a MYOG net, I could just do a draped net with pockets. That would be as simple as it gets. Saw one of those on a Mears video and it looked pretty nice.
I dont think I want to go to all the trouble of sewing on velcro and zippers to my hammock as I think it would be nice to be able to leave it at home in the winter.
A sock net looks interesting but the eno weighs like 16 oz so by the time I buy it it would cost as much as a skeeter beater pro, and just as heavy if not heavier.
I have read that warbonnet makes an UL net setup but cant find a link to the style weight and cost.
