Skeeter net vs NoSeeum net - is there a difference?

It seems that almost every product that is sold for camping, whether it be a hammock or a tent, always uses noseeum netting, which from what I can tell, has smaller holes than mosquito netting.

Given that I live in the Deep South, I'm interested in stopping extra large, Gulf Cost skeeters - not the small noseeums; and I'm very interested in maximizing the effect of the lightest beeze on those hot, sultry Southern nights. Noseeum netting, with it's smaller holes seems to block more of those faint breezes than mesh that has larger holes.

My question is simple: Is there a set standard measurement, like holes per square inch, that distinguishes mosquito net from noseeum net? does anybody have a source for large hole size mosquito net?

I had always thought that NoSeeUm netting was made from a finer mesh than plain 'ol skeeter netting.

That is true. And if you live anywhere near the coasts where you might encounter No-seeums (sand gnats, flying teeth, etc.) or whatever you want to call them you don't want to be caught out with just mosquito netting. They're most active during the dawn and dusk hours with a very slight breeze or no breeze at all.
