Hello from the Florida Keys!

Been camping in various ways for most of my life. Started in scouts, we do car camping for family trips, also backpacking trips before and with the kids, even made a camping utility trailer to haul all our gear. A scout that outgrew his HH gave it to my son. He loved it. That made me want one, got a Blackbird XLC. Got my daughter a HH backpacker. She and I used them on the AT for 2 weeks last August and loved them. Still a lot to learn but we enjoy tweaking them. The Keys are great but we love our trips to the Appalachians.

Welcome from central VA. I'm so jealous of your locale. I love the northern Conch Republic. It's hard to beat the mountains of Appalachia but being a diving and fishing fool in the Keys definitely trumps.

Another welcome from Northern Va.
In the early 70's I spent a year of military time living on Stock Island/Key West. At that time it was all hippies and Navy (and no traffic - few cars).
